Position Summary:

We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals with artistic backgrounds to join our team as Furniture Restoration & Artistic Finishing Technicians. While prior experience in furniture restoration is not essential, we are specifically looking for candidates with a strong foundation in artistic principles and techniques. We will provide comprehensive training to translate your artistic skills into expertise in furniture restoration and specialized finishing.

In this role, you will focus on the artistic aspects of furniture restoration, including color matching, finish application, decorative techniques, and overall aesthetic enhancement. You will work on a variety of pieces, bringing them back to their original beauty and often exceeding expectations with your artistic flair.

Responsibilities:

• Focus on the artistic aspects of furniture restoration, including color matching, blending, and finish application.

• Apply various decorative finishes, including faux finishes, gilding, and antiquing techniques.

• Repair and restore surface damage, ensuring seamless integration with existing finishes.

• Utilize a variety of artistic tools and materials to achieve high-quality results.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and quality control.

• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance artistic and restoration skills.

• Potentially, assist with on-site assessments and some field work.

Qualifications:

• Strong artistic background: Experience in painting, sculpture, fine arts, or related fields is highly preferred.

• Exceptional color matching and blending skills: Ability to accurately reproduce colors and finishes.

• Keen eye for detail and aesthetic appreciation.

• Manual dexterity and fine motor skills: Ability to work with small tools and intricate details.

• Problem-solving skills: Ability to creatively address restoration challenges.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques.

Preferred Skills (but not required):

• Experience in furniture refinishing or decorative painting.

• Knowledge of various wood types and finishes.

• Experience with spray finishing equipment and artistic finishing tools.
